06-June-09:

The department of pediatric successfully organized an educational event entitled: children diabetes camp 2009 by GHADAH MASH (health education specialist for diabetic patients) under supervision Dr. Doris Taha , MD  (consultant , pediatric endocrinologist) .

This event was  designed for children with diabetes to meet each other and learn from experts in the field regarding management of their disease , also provided unique experience to enhance the ability of the children with diabetes to cope with their disease .

This educational event was held in KFSH&RC-GO-JED  at 26-27 of May ,2009 for girls, ages 8 to 14 years. The diabetes children and their families were very happy and exited to participate in this event and hoped that it will be done more frequently.

Children participated in many fun activities and discovered different ways to manage their disease and start developing skills to help take care of themselves. The next session for boys was held in Jun 2 &3, 2009 at KFSH&RC-GO-JED.
