Our mission is to provide high quality diagnostic tests for the patients of KFSH&RC-Jeddah using state-of-the-art technology by highly qualified professional staff….
Objectives
1. To provide high quality diagnostic non-invasive tests.
2. To promote continuing medical education of staff to ensure the best quality of service.
3. To recruit and train Saudi personnel to become leaders in the field of non-invasive cardiovascular diagnoses.
4. To continue the quality improvement plan to increase productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness, and ultimately patient satisfaction.
5. To provide the optimum environment for research in cardiovascular diseases.
6. To encourage collaborative work with other departments to secure optimal and fully integrated patient care.
7. To be recognized and certified by the Joint Commission International Accreditation, which reflects our compliance with the international standards in providing cardiac non-invasive tests and medical education for the well-being of the patient.
Clinical Services
We are proud to announce that more than 30,000 diagnostic procedures in the cardiology non-invasive laboratory at KFHS&RC-Jeddah were performed over the last four years.
These procedures cover 16 different non-invasive diagnostic testing modalities, namely:
1. Resting 12-lead ECG
2. Holter Monitor Recording
3. Transtelephonic Event Recording (King of Heart)
4. Ambulatory BP Recording
5. Tilt-Table Test
6. Pacemaker/AICD Check up
7. Regular Exercise Stress Test
8. Exercise Stress Nuclear Scan
9. Dipyridamole Stress Nuclear Scan
10. Dobutamine Stress Nuclear Scan
11. Adult 2D Echocardiogram
12. Pediatric 2D Echocardiogram
13. Exercise Stress Echocardiogram
14. Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram
15. Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
16. Fetal Echocardiogram
These tests are offered to patients of all age groups, children and adults, and even to unborn children during fetal life.
For Echocardiography alone, we performed more than 12,000 2D Echo/Doppler studies for adults and more than 7,000 studies for pediatrics or children over the same period.
What is more important and relevant is to mention that all these tests are provided by highly qualified members of the non-invasive cardiac laboratory. They include North American board certified adult and pediatric cardiologists, supported by competent and up to the standard technologists and nursing staff.
